What happened to spring...or summer?

What a difference a week makes in terms of the weather up here on the bluff. It is nice and warm in the library, so come get your work done and enjoy the quiet. We try to keep the noise down in response to student requests and it certainly makes it easier to pay attention to the job at hand. BTW, food is not allowed in the library because it can be messy and bring strong odors in to the space. Drinks that are covered are fine. Please help us to make the library an inviting, yet quiet place to get your work done.

Spring break is coming!!

Just one week left until spring break begins. Do you have great plans? Consider checking out some light reading books from the library to take with you over break. We have quite a good collection of novels in the PR section of the book stacks. How about Michael Onadaatje's new book, The cat's table, call number PR9119.3.05 C38 2011? Or just browse the stacks and see what's there.....Have a great break!

End of semester reminders

Finals week is here and many of you are so focused on exams you might have forgotten about library materials you have checked out. Please bring them back before you head home for break!! There is a night drop box in the lobby outside the library glass doors if we are not open.

We want our material back, no questions asked!! We will not charge you late fees if you return your books, calculators, etc., but we will impound your record if you do not return them, and this will prevent you from graduating, registering for classes or further borrowing from the library. So, bring 'em back!!! Please.....

How can I show a You Tube video in PowerPoint?

There are a couple ways to incorporate a You Tube video into a PowerPoint presentation - you can link out to the Web to view it, or you can embed it within a presentation slide. Linking out is nice because your overall file size is smaller, and therefore more portable. However, having it play within the presentation itself is nice because it keeps you within the presentation, and not having to go back and forth to different windows while you are presenting.
